This project was a special one in that it was a remodel application where they used the existing framing that was once an old wooden pool deck, recessed the SilcaGrates between the joists so their porcelain pavers would match seamlessly to the pool coping.
Alternatively, if they would have tried installing their pavers the traditional way, the cost of the backfill alone to get up 2' feet from the ground to the pool coping would have been astronomical, as would a poured concrete slab around the pool and thinsetting the porcelain pavers down to the concrete. The StoneDeks System gave them the best, most cost effective solution.
